I have not built a Kart before, ... but some things very similar in my profession. I have been a Model Maker/Prototype Builder for the last 20 years. I bought the plans for the Arachnid a couple days ago and the plans are pretty straight forward and well done, and easy enough to construct. I just have a couple of questions before I start planing the items needed for the build.</p> <p>1). What is the weight of the cart as built per plans, with out the engine?</p> <p>2). Can the plans be scaled up slightly for a larger engine such as 1,000 - 1,300cc?</p> <p>3). Since the sprocket is so low to the ground (from what I see in the sales video), ... has anyone tried to have the large sprocket on a pre-axle above the main axle and runs a smaller 1:1 sprockets to turn the main axle, thus eliminating a sprocket almost dragging on the ground?</p> <p>4). How easy would this be to convert it to 4 wheel independent suspension?</p> <p>5).
